Goal achieved with a Mass-Start Final for Thierry Langer in Munich

--

This weekend, the Loop One Festival took place at Munich’s Olympic Park. Our team was represented by Thierry Langer throughout the weekend.

The stated goal had been to qualify for one of the finals, which featured the top 15 riders from the morning’s qualifying rounds. On the very first day of racing, Thierry achieved this goal by securing a remarkable 9th place in an individual Super Sprint alongside the best riders. In a highly competitive final, he crossed the finish line in 13th place. Martin Ponsiluoma won the race, followed by Johan-Olav Botn and Eric Perrot.

With rain setting in on Sunday, the track was very slippery. In difficult racing conditions—while competing in a heat alongside some of the sport’s biggest names—Thierry was unfortunately unable to finish in the top three, which would have secured him a spot in the second final.

The season is now open and we are getting ready to be back on the snow in a few weeks.
